What Is Yaki Hair

For most people, the difference between yaki hair and remy hair isn’t clear. Remy hair is a grade of hair, the highest quality of human hair, while yaki hair refers to the texture of a hair extension. Yaki hair is textured hair designed to look like chemically-relaxed, afro-caribbean hair or it can be coarse and wavy. This hair is the kind that is chemically processed to take on the texture of the african hair that has just been relaxed or blow-dried. It further blends well with your natural hair especially the hair from black women. Yaki hair may be from a synthetic, remy or non-remy source. The remy yaki hair is the best quality to purchase as it is less susceptible to shedding or tangles. Yaki hair extensions are popular for those who prefer a more natural look or want to add more length and volume to their hair that will blend seamlessly.

Types Of Yaki Hair

There are three varieties of yaki hair: Regular yaki hair, straight yaki hair, afro kinky curly hair. The last two are introduced today:

Regular Yaki Hair

It looks very natural and similar to the original african american hair. This style has tiny waves and resembles unrelaxed natural hair styled with a flat iron. Regular yaki hair is more natural-looking and usually has a thicker texture. Regular yaki hair weave is laid back enough for everyday wear. It also needs a little bit of careful maintenance.

Straight Yaki Hair

Yaki straight hair is also called kinky straight hair. Kinky straight hair is very thick, fluffy and natural-looking. Kinky straight hair often has tight waves near the scalp that fade into straight strands near the ends to achieve the most realistic look possible. The hair is not too curly and not too straight. Kinky straight gives an even closer description of the afro hair. Kinky straight hair texture is by far one of our most popular textures.

Kinky Curly Hair

Kinky curly looks as though you are wearing the hair that is tightly curled and without chemical processing. It takes on the natural hair of afro hair. It looks like the african american or african caribbean or even the african hair. The curl is sexy and beautiful. Not only look full but also can enhace your temperature.

How To Take Care Of Yaki Hair

Wash with a sulfate-free shampoo at least once a week.

Brush or comb the yaki hair from the bottom to the up gently.

Wash your yaki hair with warm water, gently massage your yaki hair from the roots.

Apply a moisturizing conditioner and comb yaki hair, starting with the tips and working your way up to the root.

After finishing washing yaki hair, use a towel to absorb water till your yaki hair is damp then air dry it.

Avoid using a flat iron on the yaki hair unless absolutely necessary. If you do straighten the yaki hair, put the iron on a low setting.

To avoid mildew growth, apply an antibacterial weave spray after washing your yaki hair.

Sleeping with a scarf will protect your yaki hair from getting tangled or lumpy when you sleep.
